Calculation methodology validated against ISO 14083 and GLEC v3

An independent review of TerraTwin's modelling logic, emission factor hierarchy, and data fallback rules.

TerraTwin's calculation methodology has been independently reviewed against ISO 14083 and the GLEC Framework v3, covering how the platform models transport activity, selects emission factors, and handles incomplete input data.

The review examined TerraTwin's full calculation logic: how shipment data is validated and enriched, how the Digital Twin resolves missing route detail, the hierarchy used to select emission factors when multiple sources are available, and the fallback rules applied when specific data points simply aren't provided.

Why an independent review

Emissions figures are increasingly used in contracts, tenders and regulatory filings, so the methodology behind them needs to withstand scrutiny beyond TerraTwin's own testing. An independent review gives customers a documented basis for trusting the numbers they report.

This validation sits alongside TerraTwin's Smart Freight Centre accreditation as part of the platform's ongoing effort to keep its methodology aligned with evolving international standards.
